Sustainability Statement

At Hanover Green, we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and creating positive social value for our people and communities.

Planet

Our office runs on a zero-carbon renewable energy tariff. We use waste provider First Mile to recycle the minimal quantities of plastic, glass, and paper waste we produce.

Our office lighting and air conditioning systems run on PIR sensors and timers, ensuring that energy use is kept to a minimum. Our old IT equipment is donated to local charities, and we ensure end-of-life furniture and equipment is recycled wherever possible.

Based in central London, we take full advantage of our fantastic public transport network, with teams moving sustainably around the city on foot, by bus, underground, bicycle, and e-scooter.

People

Fundraising for causes our team feels passionate about is close to our hearts at Hanover Green and we donate annually to The Roger Dobson Fund.

We recognise the crucial role that diversity plays in creating a well-rounded, representative, and inclusive team at Hanover Green.

While female representation within the property industry continues to improve, it’s essential that this momentum is maintained to enable the industry as a whole to prosper. We’re delighted to be playing our part in promoting the next generation of surveyors into the industry.

Our team is made up of a broad spectrum of individuals with differing skill sets. Most important is our unwavering dedication to providing clients with industry-leading fresh perspectives and ways to creatively unlock the potential in properties across London and the southeast.

Wider Impact

At Hanover Green, we are fully aware that while minimising our own environmental footprint is essential, the potential for far greater impact will be achieved through the amplification of our core function as a commercial property consultancy. Our strategic approach gives us the unique opportunity to influence the built environment on a significantly larger scale.

By collaborating with landlords, tenants, and investors, we actively promote the integration of sustainability principles throughout the commercial property life cycle, including guiding clients towards the acquisition and development of energy-efficient and resource-conscious buildings; championing the adoption of sustainable design and construction practices; and advocating for the renovation and retrofitting of existing properties to enhance environmental performance.

Through this multifaceted approach, we are committed to driving positive change within the commercial property sector and fostering a more sustainable built environment for the future.
